CEO and Professor at College of Islamic Studies Johor (MARSAH). He is synonymous within the scholar and intellectual fraternity in the region as a forward thinking visionary and protagonist of Islamic revival movement. He is a strong advocator in the concept of "healthy living, halal lifestyle" for a sustenance and sustainable community.

Prof Md Som holds a PhD in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Edinburgh Scotland UK. He also holds a Master of Arts from the Mississipi State University (MSU) USA. In addition, he is also a research fellow with the regional universities and international intellectuals organizations.
