DATO' DR HAJI NOOH B GADOT

Received his formal education from the prestigious Al Azhar University in Shariah and Islamic Jurisprudence. A native Johorean and a prominent figure in Malaysia and the region, he has served in the religious circle for more than four decades till his appointment as the State Mufti of Johor and Religious Advisor to the Sultan since 2008.

Dato' Dr Haji Nooh has served in several portfolios with the ministries, government agencies and its quasi-government subsidiaries in their committees, board of custodials, commissioners and advisories. As an inclusive and highly regarded scholar, he has established a profound relationship with the Islamic leaders in the region.

Dato' Dr Haji Nooh is currently serving in the steering committee of the World Institute of Fatwa Research and Development (INFAD) under the purview of the University of Islamic Science Malaysia (USIM).
